“Google, the “Vibe” and Pseudo legal defences – – Summary of the nutty defences and highlights based on google searches etc over the years that Crispin has encountered.

Crispin Vinnell – Partner (Insolvency & Corporate Recovery) for Anthony Harper, will be the speaker for this function.

Crispin advises a wide range of clients, including banks, finance companies, chartered accountants, insolvency practitioners, receivers, liquidators, administrators and the Official Assignee on all facets of insolvency and recovery matters. This includes Court action at all levels, mortgagee sales, recovery of collateral under the Personal Property Securities Act and advice to receivers and liquidators. Crispin has a particular expertise in personal insolvency.

Crispin is a member of RITANZ (Restructuring Insolvency & Turnaround Association of New Zealand Incorporated), on the organising committee of the Canterbury Insolvency Special Interest Group,  a member of the New Zealand Credit and Finance Institute and a member of the Banking and Finance Law Association.

He is ranked in the 2017 Chambers and Partners Directory and noted for his ‘specialist expertise in mortgagee sales, personal insolvency and asset realisation matters’.  He was also recognised as a “Leading Lawyer” in the 2017 Asialaw Directory.

Crispin is named as a leading individual in the 2017 Asia Pacific Legal 500 Guide. This is the highest accolade the Guide awards and represents a lawyer who has reached the heights of their profession.
